Due to capacity, health and safety, My Friend’s House can only accept items on our Wish List.

We can not accept donations of furniture, clothing and household items. If you would like to donate these items, please consider supporting The Fresh Start Project (we use this service to set women up for success when they transition to independent living), Georgian Bay Furniture Bank, E3 ReUse Centre and Salvation Army. All of these organizations provide assistance to clients of My Friend’s House.

Regular Items

Our grocery & supply budget at present is $300.00 per week to feed our 12 bed shelter. That is not a lot when feeding three or more families! 

Your generous donations of perishable and non-perishable food really helps to provide nutritious and delicious food for our residents. 

Donations of gift cards for Loblaws and FreshCo go a long way in covering costs, especially when there are special diets and allergies that we need to consider.

Gift Cards can truly help us to bridge the gap for residents and our increasing budget for food and supplies.  Below find a list of Gift Cards that would be helpful:
