Holiday Giving

In lieu of a “Sponsor A Family” program this holiday season, we are asking for our donors to donate gift cards for our Moms to buy their own gifts for their children.  This is an empowering act of independence for many of the women we serve and we want to give them the opportunity to gift to their own children.

If you’re interested in sponsoring a Mom and her children this holiday season, please reach out to our Transition Coordinator, Jordan Marshall at [email protected] to arrange for drop off.

We are so grateful for your support, especially during this time of year!

TESTIMONIALS

My Friend's House is a safe and welcoming place for all women. Learn more about women's experiences.
''I was 15 when I was brought into My Friend's House by police officers from the hospital. They let me speak with them when I was ready and said this is the space you can use and that you can reside in. They make you feel accepted and they don't judge. At My Friend's House its really a friendly house. My Friend's House makes you feel calm. They let you do what you need to do to get through your situation, but there is always someone there for you.''
''I didn't know what I was living through till my friend told me how my relationship wasn't normal. It was her that called My Friend's House and had one of the counsellors go to her house to meet with me. The staff at the shelter provided me with support 24 hours a day, if I was having a rough night like at 3am I could go sit and talk with someone. I always had the support and guidance. I don't know what would have happened if it weren't for My Friend's House.''
''A friend of mine mentioned to me about My Friend's House, so I took it upon myself to go through the doors myself and instantly I felt safe and secure. My life without My Friend's House, probably wouldn't have turned out the same. I don't know where I would have ended up without them."
