This month, Give Courage.

She is the one in three.

She could be your sister. Your best friend. A colleague. You.

1 in 3 women will experience abuse in her lifetime.

And what she needs most right now – is courage. Courage to break the cycle that never seems to stop. Courage to take that first step towards safety.

At My Friend’s House, women and their children find more than shelter. They find hope, healing and a path forward. A place where fear turns into strength and silence becomes a voice.

This November, Give Courage.

November is Women Abuse Prevention Month.

You can be the one who shows her the way. The one that reminds her she is not alone. Give her the courage your sister had. That your best friend had. That you had.

Be the One.

HOW YOUR SUPPORT HELPS

Demand for our crisis shelter services is intensifying because Georgian Triangle’s population has increased significantly since we opened our doors in 1991. As our community is growing, so is the need for supports for women and their children fleeing abusive situations.  Our shelter operations are 50% dependent on our dollars fundraised each year.
