My Friend’s House is a community based organization that offers a range of services women need to make a new life for themselves and their children.
We are committed to ensuring all women gain access to the information and resources they need to make informed choices about their lives and that of their children and to have those choices respected.

24h Support Services
Counsellors answer the support line 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Emergency Shelter
Emergency shelter in a caring, safe environment providing healthy meals, personal care items, access to clothing, counselling and practical support.
Children and Youth
This program helps children and their mothers reconnect as they start a life free from abuse and violence.
Public Education
Public education promotes an understanding and knowledge of issues of woman abuse; it helps to change attitudes and foster health relationships and build a stronger community.
Therapeutic Counselling
Therapeutic support to help maximize and strengthen personal resources for healing and to resolve challenges.
Legal Support
A wide range of support to women in the community who are experiencing abuse, have left abusive relationships recently or in the past, or who are considering leaving.
Wellness Support
We are committed to compassionately supporting women impacted by abuse and lives have been affected by mental health and addiction.
Outreach Services
Wasaga Beach
While our shelter is in Collingwood, we welcome women from Wasaga Beach, Clearview Township, The Blue Mountains and Meaford. To eliminate transportation barriers, we've started Drop-In Counselling in Wasaga Beach on Fridays!
