HOST A FUNDRAISER
Whether on your own or with a group of friends, hosting a fundraising event for My Friend’s House is a great way to help women and children in our community escape violence. You can host a corporate event, social gathering, or a birthday party – there are so many ways to fundraise!
We provide you with the support you need – including a dedicated fundraising contact, and resources including fundraising material, flags, an online link for event donations and our logo.
What is a third-party fundraiser and why should I host one?
A third-party fundraising event is when a business, organization, community group, school, or individual hosts an event to benefit My Friend’s House. It is planned and executed independently, and the resulting event donation will directly assist the shelter to care for their residents.

Beauty Bar Grand Opening – Feb 2023
The Beauty Bar located in the Blue Mountain Village hosted their grand opening in February with a raffle in support of My Friend’s House. It was a fun and entertaining evening which showcased the different services offered by the spa.
Side Launch – ReLaunch of Side Launch – May 2023
The ReLaunch of Side Launch was a fantastic event in support of My Friend’s House that marked the relaunch of their tap room. It was an unforgettable evening where the community came together to celebrate those who helped support Side Launch.
Blue Shores Musical Concert – June 2023
The generous and amazing community of Blue Shores held an amazing concert in the summer in support of My Friend’s House. The talented group of musicians, including Bob Woodburn, provided a wonderful afternoon of entertainment with the shores of Georgian Bay as a backdrop! It was a summer night to remember.
2dirtyaprons Summer Market – July and Nov 2023
2dirtyaprons summer and holiday markets were held on July 8th and Nov 18th with a $20 donation entry fee going directly to My Friend’s House! The markets were a huge success with lots of local items sold at the amazing property near Creemore.
Mad River Golf Club Ladies’ Day Fundraiser – August 2023
Mad River Golf Club chose My Friend’s House as their 2023 charitable beneficiary for their Ladies’ Day! Members invited guests to golf, with extra funds raised through Mulligans and shots from their Pro! They did hole sponsorships with inspirational quotes and hosted a beautiful lunch for everyone after their round! It was a beautiful day with over $21,000 raised for My Friend’s House!
Coriander Saxx Fashion Show – Nov 2023
Coriander hosted their annual Saxx Fashion Show at Black Bellows in support of My Friend’s House! It was a lively and entertaining evening with a dynamic group of volunteers who helped make it a success!
Holiday Home Tour – Nov 2023
The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation and Royal LePage Locations North hosted their annual holiday home tour by showcasing holiday decorations at several stunning properties in The Blue Mountains and Collingwood. My Friend’s House hosted at booth at their market in Thornbury and we were delighted to the charity of choice!
Cherchez La Femme – Nov 2023
Cherchez La Femme located in Thornbury hosted two fashion shows in support of My Friend’s House on the same day! A wonderful group of community members came together for a lunch and evening event. It was a fun and lively day which supported the shelter during the holiday season!
